Celebrate Success

The Texarkana Arkansas School District is proud to announce academic growth and resilience across its campuses following the release of data for the 2023-24 school year. Although the Arkansas legislature passed House Bill 1598, which stipulated the Arkansas Department of Education should not assign new school ratings based on the existing system for the 2023-24 school year.  The district is celebrating multiple schools that made significant gains in performance, with four campuses improving their state-assigned letter grades and one maintaining strong results from the prior year.

Superintendent Dr. Lloyd Jackson commended the effort of students, educators, and families, saying, “These results reflect more than just numbers—they reflect the dedication, focus, and heart of our school community. We are proud of the progress we’ve made and energized by the path ahead.”

Highlights from the 2023–2024 School Year:

  • Four campuses improved their letter grades – Fairview, Kilpatrick, Harmony, and Arkansas High School

  • North Heights Community School, Trice, and Arkansas Middle School maintained their letter grade

  • All campuses demonstrated resilience and continued commitment to student achievement

The district remains steadfast on strengthening student achievement through:

  • Attendance: Decrease student chronic absenteeism
